The parade celebrated both the founding of the Sikh faith and the Punjabi harvest season. Costa emphasized the longstanding and influential presence of the Sikh community in the Valley, describing its vital role in shaping the region's culture and future.
Later the same day, Costa noted his participation in an event hosted by the Fresno Veterans Hospital on Friday, recognizing its 75 years of service. Costa highlighted that the hospital supports 41,000 veterans across Central California, underscoring its critical role in delivering care to those who have served in the military.
On April 18, 2025, Costa celebrated the completion of the Tagus Rehab Project alongside CalTrans. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked a significant expansion to a segment of State Route 99 in Tulare County, extending it from four to six lanes.
