Rep. Jim Costa, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 21st district, has recently shared insights into his legislative activities and diplomatic engagements through a series of tweets. Costa, who has been serving since 2005, highlighted various issues ranging from judicial needs to international relations and rural housing.

On November 25, 2024, Rep. Jim Costa emphasized the importance of expanding the judicial bench in response to increasing caseloads. He reported having a "productive meeting with U.S. District Court Judge Troy Nunley" to discuss the necessity for more judicial seats in the Eastern District. "As the caseload continues to grow, expanding the bench is critical to ensure justice for all"

Later that day, on November 25, Costa met with Ambassador Rosemary Banks from New Zealand at the New Zealand Embassy in Washington D.C. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral ties between the United States and New Zealand, touching upon shared values and strategic partnerships. The meeting also addressed agricultural trade issues and bipartisan concerns. "I had an insightful meeting with @NZembassyUS Ambassador Rosemary Banks"

On November 26, 2024, Costa expressed gratitude towards the Rural Coalition for their support of affordable housing initiatives in rural communities. He described affordable housing as essential for thriving rural areas. "Affordable housing is the backbone of thriving rural communities."
