Rep. Jim Costa, currently serving California’s 21st District in the U.S. Congress, has recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Costa, who has been a member of Congress since 2005, previously served in the California State Assembly and Senate. Born in Fresno, he continues to reside there.

On March 26, 2025, Costa commented on President Trump's executive order concerning Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) funding. He emphasized the importance of focusing on business growth and job creation in the Valley. He stated: "With President Trump’s recent executive order to restrict CDFI funding, it’s more important than ever to focus on growing businesses and creating good-paying jobs in the Valley." Costa also mentioned his meeting with Tate Hill from Access Plus Capital to discuss their work.

Later that day, Costa participated in a discussion on national security concerns regarding Trump officials' use of Signal for classified information communications. He announced this engagement via Twitter: "HAPPENING NOW: I’m joining @NewsNation with Nichole Berlie to discuss national security concerns with Trump officials using Signal to discuss classified information."

On March 27, 2025, Costa highlighted California's role as a leading producer of fresh fruits and nuts in the United States. He discussed support for fruit growers with CalFreshFruit, addressing industry challenges such as tariffs and USDA purchases: "California is a leader in fresh fruit production, supplying over three-quarters of the nation's fruits and nuts. Supporting our fruit growers is crucial."
