Silvino Serrano's death in Parlier ruled as homicide

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of 63-year-old Silvino Serrano, which has been ruled a homicide. The incident occurred in Parlier, where Serrano was found injured in a yard on S. Zediker Ave., just south of Adams Ave., around 6:30 am on Friday, September 20th. Deputies and emergency medical services arrived at the scene and determined that Serrano was deceased.

Initially considered a suspicious death, further investigation by homicide detectives, the Crime Scene Unit, and a deputy coroner revealed injuries consistent with homicide. Serrano resided on the property where he was found.

Authorities are seeking information from anyone who knew or recently saw Serrano or has details about events leading to his death. Individuals with information are encouraged to contact Sheriff’s Detective Jose Diaz at (559) 600-8204 or Detective Richard Antunez at (559) 600-8221. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 or via their website www.valleycrimestoppers.org. Informants may be eligible for a cash reward of $2,000.
