Around 8:00 am on Friday, June 21, members of the Tulare County Search and Rescue Team found four-year-old Cristian Ramirez. He was located about a quarter mile from where he reportedly disappeared, nestled under a tree. Cristian was in good condition but tired and hungry. He has since been reunited with his parents, and there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

The search effort involved more than 50 deputies and volunteers, including members of other law enforcement agencies who worked non-stop throughout the night. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the community for their support. Many residents offered to join the search, kept vigilant, spread information on social media, and sent prayers.

Cristian's parents have requested privacy moving forward and issued the following statement: "We would like to thank God, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office and all Search and Rescue Team members who worked to bring Cristian back to us safely." - Mr. & Mrs. Ramirez

The incident began shortly before 11 am on Thursday when a family at Rancheria Campground reported their four-year-old boy missing after searching for him for about an hour. Cristian Ramirez was last seen wearing a gray Volcom brand t-shirt, blue shorts, and gray Nike shoes.

Search efforts included personnel from the Search and Rescue team, Air Support Unit, Forest Service rangers, and California Fish & Wildlife officers in the northeastern portion of Huntington Lake.
