Fresno Unified School District issued the following announcement on Nov 17.
Corporate, community and individual sponsors provided a big boost to this year’s high school seniors, raising $50,125 through the Walk/Run for the Class of 2021. The virtual walk/run served as the primary fundraiser for the Fresno Unified Scholarship Fund this year as the district was unable to hold its annual State of Education luncheon. Scholarships will be awarded in the spring.
“I could not be more grateful to our community for showing up for our kids at a time when things are difficult. Those dollars go toward scholarships supporting our graduating seniors,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
