About 14 percent of the 5,676 degrees and certificates handed out by California State University-Fresno in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Fresno conferred 723 bachelor's degrees and 69 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 723 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 436 bachelor's degrees in criminology and 372 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The university enrolled 25,137 students for 2017-18, including 22,125 in undergraduate programs and 3,012 in graduate programs.
