58 percent of applicants to California State University-Fresno were admitted for fall 2018

At California State University-Fresno, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Fresno enrolled 25,137 students in fall 2018, including 22,125 in undergraduate and 3,012 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of California, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (53 percent) and white (18 percent).

The school admitted 58 percent of the 18,476 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 34 percent enrolled.
