Members of the public are invited to participate in a significant event as construction commences on the Fresno County Sheriff's memorial, dedicated to honoring employees who have died in the line of duty.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the FSO Area Two Substation located at 1129 N. Armstrong Ave., Fresno, 93727.

Guest speakers at the event include Retired Sheriff Steve Magarian, Fresno County Supervisor Sal Quintero, Retired Sheriff Margaret Mims, Fresno County Supervisor and Chairman Nathan Magsig, Leon Isaac (father of a fallen deputy), Sheriff John Zanoni, and Sergeant Preston Little.
