Detectives from the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) have apprehended 39-year-old Thomas Qualls of Sanger, who is currently held in Fresno County Jail. Qualls faces charges of arson and possession of firearms and ammunition by a felon, with bail set at $337,000.

On May 2nd, MAGEC detectives assisted investigators from the Fresno Fire Department in serving a search warrant for a wanted individual at 181 Academy Ave. in Sanger. This location serves as the clubhouse for the Screamin Demons Motorcycle Club. Thomas Qualls, the chapter president of this club, was the individual sought after with an active arrest warrant. Fire investigators determined that Qualls was responsible for recently burglarizing and setting a structure on fire in Fresno.

Upon contact, detectives took Qualls into custody. A subsequent search warrant issued for the clubhouse revealed firearms, ammunition and gang-related material. In total, five guns were seized - two reported stolen and another created with a 3D printer. Additionally, over 2,300 rounds of ammunition were found along with numerous large capacity magazines, materials related to Nazis and white supremacy and methamphetamine paraphernalia.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information about Qualls or his associates is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 or via www.valleycrimestoppers.org. All informants will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Reference case #24-4989 when providing information.
