Utah Tech Trailblazers, featuring former Edison High School standout Lauren Jones, suffered an 8-0 defeat against the California Baptist Lancers in an NCAA Division I softball matchup at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3.
Held at John C. Funk Softball Stadium, the contest marked the first meeting of the season between the Trailblazers and Lancers.
Jones contributed one hit in two at-bats and struck out once.
Utah Tech’s next matchup is set for 7 p.m. at John C. Funk Softball Stadium, where they will face the Lancers once more.
