UNLV’s Jayden Hertel helps secure 14-8 win over Grand Canyon in NCAA baseball

Former Clovis North High School standout Jayden Hertel contributed to the UNLV Rebels’ 14-8 victory over the Grand Canyon Antelopes in an NCAA Division I baseball game held at noon on Sunday, April 12.

The game, played at Brazell Field at GCU Ballpark, marked the teams’ third meeting of the season. Each squad has one win in the season series.

Hertel went two for five at the plate, tallied two RBIs, and had one strikeout.

The Rebels are set to play next on Tuesday, April 14, facing the Utah Tech Trailblazers at Bruce Hurst Field.
