Detectives from the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force have arrested Maci Rodriguez, 28, of Kerman. The arrest took place on February 18th. Rodriguez faces charges of arranging to meet a minor for sexual purposes and sending harmful material to a minor. She is currently held at the Fresno County Jail.

Rodriguez worked as an after-school tutor at Kerman Floyd Elementary through Teaching Fellows, a company contracted by the Kerman Unified School District. Following the investigation's initiation, her employer placed her on administrative leave.

The investigation began when the school district and Kerman Police received reports of concerning digital communications between Rodriguez and a former middle school student from Kerman Floyd Elementary. ICAC detectives took over the case, uncovering messages from Rodriguez to the student that were sexual in nature. No evidence has been found suggesting a physical relationship occurred.

Given Rodriguez's role within the school district, detectives are concerned about potential unreported victims. Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact Detective Patrick Clark at (559) 550-0798 or Detective Fernando Rosario at (559) 760-6282. Alternatively, Valley Crime Stoppers can be contacted anonymously at (559) 498-7867 or www.valleycrimestoppers.org, where individuals may be eligible for a cash reward.

The ICAC Task Force consists of 66 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies across nine counties in Central Valley. Their mission focuses on protecting children online and investigating internet-facilitated crimes against children.
