He also mentioned meeting with Mark Standriff from Beautify Fresno to discuss new initiatives aimed at enhancing community cleanliness.

In another tweet posted on February 15, 2025, Costa addressed human rights concerns regarding Dr. Gubad Ibadoghlu's detention by the Azerbaijani government. He stated: "The Azerbaijani government's unjust detention of Dr. Gubad Ibadoghlu is unacceptable." Costa emphasized his support for academic freedom and co-sponsored legislation condemning the mistreatment of Dr. Ibadoghlu.
