Fresno County CAL-ID RAN Policy Board plans virtual meeting on February 7

The Fresno County CAL-ID RAN Policy Board is scheduled to hold a public meeting on February 7, 2025. The meeting will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams at 10:00 am.

The main objective of the Remote Access Network (RAN) board is to decide on the placement and operation of RAN equipment, such as the Automated Fingerprint Identification System, within counties. The board also coordinates the acceptance, delivery, and installation of this equipment and develops procedures for its ongoing use and maintenance according to department guidelines.

To participate in the meeting remotely, attendees need a Microsoft account to log into Microsoft Teams using the provided link. The Meeting ID is 219 759 716 97 with Passcode LQbZgw.

Public comments can be submitted via email to a protected address that requires JavaScript for visibility.

The agenda includes a call to order by Sheriff John Zanoni who will also handle quorum determination and approval of prior minutes from November 7, 2024. Mark Hegreberg will present reports on LiveScan and BlueCheck usage for Q4 of 2024. Jose Palegio will deliver both the financial report as of January 31, 2025, and new business regarding funding appropriations for the fiscal year.

Future meetings are planned for May 2, August 1, and November 7 in the year ahead.

Sheriff John Zanoni will adjourn the session following public comments.
