Property crimes detectives from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have made significant progress in a recent case involving the robbery of an online merchandise seller. Two individuals, 18-year-old Cesar Flores of Riverdale and 18-year-old Dominique Diaz of Fresno, have been apprehended in connection with the crime.
The incident, which occurred on November 25th, 2023, involved a man being robbed at gunpoint for a designer sweater he was selling as part of an online transaction. Following the report, detectives diligently pursued the case, leading to the identification of Flores and Diaz as the primary suspects. Subsequently, arrest warrants were issued for both individuals.
On February 22nd, property crimes detectives, alongside Ag Task Force detectives, conducted search warrants at multiple locations, resulting in the arrest of Flores and Diaz. During the search, authorities discovered a range of incriminating items, including the stolen sweater, firearms, drugs such as methamphetamine, THC vape pens/cartridges, scales, and other related paraphernalia.
Both suspects were extensively questioned about their involvement in the robbery and drug-related activities, leading to their admission of guilt. Flores is currently being held on a bail of $105,000, while Diaz, whose bail was set at $75,000, has been released after posting bond.
