Rep. Jim Costa, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 21st district, used his social media platform to encourage civic engagement and highlight ongoing discussions with community leaders in the Central Valley region.
Ahead of Election Day, on June 1, 2026, Costa urged constituents to participate in the electoral process: “Central Valley, it’s time to vote! Make sure your voice is heard this election cycle—tomorrow is Election Day. Be sure to return your mail-in ballot or find your nearest polling location. https://t.co/xYqHJQET1e”.
On June 2, 2026, he reiterated this message in Spanish: “¡Valle Central, hoy es el Día de las Elecciones! Haga escuchar su voz. Devuelva su boleta de voto por correo o vote en persona en su centro de votación más cercano. https://t.co/IJNKIgFujo”.
Costa has served as a member of Congress since 2005 after replacing Cal Dooley and previously held seats in both the California State Assembly and Senate from 1978 through 2002. Born in Fresno in 1952 and currently residing there at age 71, Costa earned his BA from California State University, Fresno in 1974.
