Rep. Jim Costa, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 21st district since 2005, shared several messages on social media during the first week of April 2026, reflecting on religious observances and recent advancements in space exploration.
On April 3, Costa marked Good Friday by posting: “On this Good Friday, we reflect on the values of sacrifice, compassion, and hope. Wishing all those who observe a meaningful day of reflection!”
Later that same day, he commented on the Artemis II mission: “This week’s Artemis II launch marked an important step in our return to the Moon and restoring American leadership in space. I had the opportunity to meet the @NASAArtemis crew at the U.S. Capitol and speak with them about their upcoming mission. It’s important to advance”
On April 5, Costa extended holiday greetings with another post: “Wishing you all a blessed and joyful Easter!”
Costa has served as a member of Congress for over two decades after succeeding Cal Dooley in 2005. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of both the California State Assembly from 1978 to 1994 and the California Senate from 1994 to 2002.
