Rep. Jim Costa, who represents California’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to engage with constituents about opportunities for local students and developments in the region’s supply chain sector.
On April 14, 2026, Costa addressed high school students in his district regarding an art competition: ” ATTENTION CA-21 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: This is your final week to submit your artwork for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition!
All submissions are due this Friday, April 17 at 5 PM.
If you’re still interested in participating, be sure to review the rules and details” (posted April 14, 2026).
Later that day, Costa highlighted a visit to a major regional distribution center: “To keep our Valley moving, it is essential to understand the supply chains that help power it.
I recently toured the Best Buy Regional Distribution Center in Dinuba.
It was great to learn more about their operations, meet members of their workforce, and see firsthand how” (posted April 14, 2026).
Continuing his focus on logistics and employment in the region, Costa posted on April 15: “It was great to tour the Walmart facility in Dinuba and get a behind-the-scenes look at its operations and impact on our community.
With more than 2,500 associates employed across our Valley, we had a meaningful discussion on workforce development, supply chain logistics,” (posted April 15, 2026).
Costa has represented California’s 21st District since replacing Cal Dooley in Congress in 2005. He previously served terms in both the California State Assembly and Senate before joining Congress.
He was born in Fresno in 1952 and continues to reside there.
Costa earned his Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fresno.
