Rep. Jim Costa, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 21st district since 2005, shared a series of updates on his official X (formerly Twitter) account regarding legislative milestones and community events between April 30 and May 2, 2026.

On April 30, Costa addressed recent legislative developments by posting: “My statement on the House passage of the 2026 Farm Bill. https://t.co/UXKsLgQ0qF”.

On May 2, he highlighted his participation in an event supporting agricultural workers: “This morning, I attended the bi-national Farmworkers Appreciation Breakfast to honor the hard work and dedication of our farmworker community and their families.

Later that day, Costa noted a return to his alma mater to recognize athletic achievement: “Today, I had the honor of returning to my alma mater, SJM, to recognize and celebrate Coach Roznovsky and the boys’ basketball team for their incredible achievement—winning the CIF Division II State Championship.

Costa has served as a member of Congress since replacing Cal Dooley in 2005. Prior to this role, he served in both chambers of California’s state legislature from 1978 through 2002. Born in Fresno in 1952, Costa continues to reside there and graduated from California State University, Fresno with a bachelor’s degree in 1974.
