Rep. Jim Costa, who has represented California’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress since 2005, used his Twitter account on June 2, 2026, to encourage civic participation and highlight recent achievements for his constituents.
On Election Day, Costa posted: “Central Valley, today is Election Day!
Make your voice heard. Return your mail-in ballot or vote in person at your nearest polling place. https://t.co/IJNKIgG28W” (June 2, 2026).
Later that day, he shared updates on constituent services: “My team and I have been hard at work fighting for YOU.
In May alone, Team Costa delivered over $47K in casework wins for CA-21 constituents, bringing the total amount for the year to more than $500K in returns. Whether it’s veterans’ benefits, Social Security, IRS issues, or https://t.co/ran3VuQLN9″ (June 2, 2026).
Costa also highlighted a visit to a local organization addressing homelessness: “It was great to return to Salt + Light and see firsthand how they continue transforming lives for Central Valley families facing homelessness. Jim Costa has served in Congress since replacing Cal Dooley in 2005 and previously held seats in both the California State Assembly and Senate from 1978 through 2002. Born in Fresno in 1952 and currently residing there at age 71, Costa graduated from California State University, Fresno with a BA in 1974.
