On Sunday, March 16, former San Joaquin Memorial High School standout Max Mendes’ current college team, the Cal State Northridge Matadors, lost 6-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UC Irvine Anteaters.

The game took place at Robert J. Hiegert Field. This was their third matchup against the Anteaters this season.

The Matadors’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at 3 p.m. at Robert J. Hiegert Field against Columbia Lions.
