On Saturday, March 8, former Herbert Hoover High School standout Matthew Toops’ current college team, the Charleston Golden Eagles, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Pittsburgh Johnstown Mountain Cats.

The game took place at Welch Athletic Complex. This was their first matchup against the Mountain Cats this season.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 3:30 p.m. at Welch Athletic Complex against Pittsburgh Johnstown Mountain Cats.
