Jim Costa, currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for California’s 21st District, has expressed his concerns and initiatives through a series of tweets. Costa, who has been in office since replacing Cal Dooley in 2005, continues to advocate on various issues affecting his constituents.

On March 20, 2025, Costa shared his views regarding President Trump’s actions towards the Department of Education. He stated: “My statement on President Trump’s unconstitutional attack on the Department of Education.”

The following day, March 21, 2025, he elaborated further on the potential impacts of these actions: “Trump’s attempt to eliminate the Department of Education will hurt rural and low-income schools the most. Our kids deserve better!”

On March 22, 2025, Costa turned his attention to local youth engagement by promoting an art competition. He tweeted: “Calling all CA-21 high school students! The 2025 Congressional Art Competition is here! Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to get involved and leave your mark.”
