Rep. Jim Costa, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 21st district, shared a series of tweets on June 6, 2025, highlighting various events and commemorations. Costa has been a member of Congress since 2005 after replacing Cal Dooley and has a long history of public service in California.
On June 6, Rep. Jim Costa invited constituents to join a Mobile Casework Event in Parlier. He emphasized that his team would be available to assist with issues related to the IRS, Social Security, or veterans’ affairs. “TODAY is the day! Join us in Parlier for our Mobile Casework Event.”
In another tweet on the same day, Costa marked the 81st anniversary of D-Day, recognizing the contributions of American, British, and Canadian forces who landed on Normandy’s beaches during World War II. He mentioned his attendance at previous anniversaries as well. “Today we mark the 81st anniversary of the brave Americans along with the British and Canadian forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy.”
Later that day, Costa extended greetings for Eid al-Adha to those celebrating this significant occasion within the Muslim community. He wished them days filled with devotion and unity. “Eid Mubarak to all celebrating Eid al-Adha!”
Jim Costa was born in Fresno, California in 1952 and continues to reside there today. A graduate from California State University, Fresno with a BA degree earned in 1974, he also served in both the California State Assembly and Senate before his tenure in Congress.
