Jim Costa, currently representing California’s 21st congressional district, took to social media to comment on recent political and legislative developments. With a career in U.S. Congress dating back to 2005, Costa offers insights spanning national politics as well as local level initiatives.
On April 30, 2025, Costa reflected on former President Donald Trump’s early tenure, stating, “Donald Trump’s disastrous first 100 days have been chaos for the American people.”
Later the same day, Costa addressed public safety and health concerns, noting, “Our communities deserve stronger protection from serious health threats. That’s why I introduced the STOP Health Threats Act—to ensure local law enforcement have the tools and training needed to identify and address hazardous conditions, such as code violations, that put public” at risk.
On May 1, 2025, Costa focused on federal employee support. He shared, “Our federal workers deserve the strongest support that we can provide. That’s why I met with the National Federation of Federal Employees to discuss how we can better support federal employees here in the Valley.”
