Rep. Jim Costa, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 21st district since 2005, shared updates on his recent activities and initiatives through a series of tweets on June 5, 2025.
In one post, he invited constituents to join a Mobile Casework Event scheduled for the following day in Parlier. The event aims to assist individuals with issues related to federal agencies such as Social Security, the VA, or immigration services.
As Co-Chair of the Crime Survivors Caucus, Rep. Costa participated in a Day of Action advocating for the protection of federal funding for victim services. He emphasized that organizations like CASA in Fresno and the Marjaree Mason Center are crucial resources for survivors and should not face budget cuts.
Additionally, Rep. Costa attended a House Agriculture Democrats Subcommittee hearing focused on supporting farmers and strengthening conservation efforts. He highlighted the importance of providing robust federal support to farmers who play a critical role in climate and conservation initiatives.
Jim Costa was born in Fresno, California in 1952 and continues to reside there. He graduated from California State University, Fresno with a BA in 1974.
