On Monday, April 14, former Herbert Hoover High School standout Matthew Toops’ current college team, the Charleston Golden Eagles, won 7-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Davis & Elkins Senators.

The game took place at Harpertown Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Senators this season.

The Golden Eagles’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at 1 p.m. at Welch Athletic Complex against West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats.
