Deputies from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Brian Hall, 37, of Auberry. He faces felony charges of evading police and assault with a firearm, with bail set at $235,000.
The arrest follows an incident on June 28th around 7:30 am when deputies responded to a shooting call on the 33000 block of Auberry Road. A woman was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Investigations revealed that the shooter was known to the victim and identified as Brian Hall. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (ViCAT) took over the case to locate Hall.
Later that night, detectives learned that Hall was in Fresno. The Fresno Police helicopter, Air 1, located a white Chevrolet Tahoe matching Hall’s vehicle. Patrol units attempted a traffic stop, but Hall did not comply and drove recklessly through red lights. Air 1 used its spotlight to alert other motorists about the wanted vehicle. Hall eventually stopped near Auberry and Millerton Roads after his SUV ran out of gas. Deputies then took him into custody.
The Sheriff’s Office requests anyone with additional information about Brian Hall to contact them at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 or visit www.valleycrimestoppers.org for anonymity and potential cash rewards. Reference case #25-6552.
