At 7:00 am on Wednesday, July 2, Fresno County Sheriff’s dispatchers received a report of an injured person along the road near S. Chateau Fresno Ave. and W. Kearney Blvd. in Fresno.

Deputies arrived and discovered a man who was deceased. Sheriff’s crime scene technicians have since identified him as 54-year-old Billy Wayne Sinisgalli, a transient in the Fresno area. He was commonly referred to on the streets by his middle name of Wayne. Due to his death appearing suspicious, Sheriff’s homicide detectives were called to the scene.

Following an examination of Sinisgalli, detectives and a deputy coroner determined his death was not from natural causes. Detectives are working to learn more about Sinisgalli, in hopes of speaking with those who knew him and what may have led to his death.
