Fresno County authorities identify man found dead in Caruthers

A man found dead in Caruthers has been identified as 37-year-old Daniel Leon, according to authorities. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 23, when dispatchers received a call at 7:00 am reporting an injured man lying on the ground near Oak and Tahoe Avenues in Caruthers.

Emergency medical services and deputies responded to the scene and provided aid, but Leon was pronounced dead at the location. Officials have not released details about the nature of his injuries. Detectives are treating the case as a suspicious death and are continuing their investigation.
