Detectives seek public help in solving Francisco Acosta’s murder

Homicide detectives from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office are revisiting the 2017 murder case of Francisco Acosta, a 68-year-old man from Huron. New information has prompted this renewed investigation, and detectives are seeking public assistance to identify Acosta’s killer. The family of the deceased is also appealing for any information related to his death.

The incident occurred on January 29, 2017, when Huron police responded to a drive-by shooting at a residence on 16735 14th Street in Huron around 9:40 am. Officers found Acosta in the living room with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
