Homicide detectives from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have reopened their investigation into the 2017 murder of Jesus Adrian Amador Jr., a 22-year-old resident of Huron. The decision to revisit the case comes after receiving new information, prompting law enforcement to seek public assistance in identifying Amador’s killer.
The incident occurred on March 27, 2017, when the Huron Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near Lassen Ave. and Tornado Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered two shooting victims on 10th Street, east of Lassen Ave. Jesus Amador was critically injured with multiple gunshot wounds and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), where he later succumbed to his injuries. The second victim received treatment at the scene and was released.
