Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies have apprehended Ernest Daniel Linton, a 32-year-old resident of Fresno. He faces felony charges including home invasion robbery, sexual battery, and assault with intent to commit a sex offense. Linton’s bail is set at $325,000.

The incident occurred on the morning of July 16th when dispatchers received a report of a burglary at a residence on the 5000 block of E. Tyler Ave. in Fresno. The victim, who was at home with her child, reported waking up to find an unknown man in her bed groping her. She shouted at him to leave, prompting him to flee the scene after stealing personal items. Fortunately, neither the woman nor her child sustained physical injuries.

Deputies gathered a description of the suspect and initiated a search in the vicinity. Surveillance footage captured images of the suspect walking on the street. Later that day, deputies identified and confirmed Linton as the suspect near Circle K gas station at Olive and Peach Avenues in Fresno.

Detectives are seeking additional information about Linton and urge anyone who may have had inappropriate encounters with him to come forward. He is known to frequent areas around E. Olive and N. Peach Avenues.
