There were 1,022 agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting businesses in the U.S. that had between 20 and 49 employees in 2016, according to County Business Patterns (CBP) statistics provided by the United States Census Bureau.

CBP data indicates that there are more establishments categorized as accommodation and food services businesses with between 20 and 49 employees in the U.S. than in any other category.
